Brighter Days is the annual fundraiser for Teenage Anxiety & Depression Solutions (TADS). It will be held at the Groton Country Club on April 27 at 7 p.m.

While discussion of mental illness is a difficult topic, we consider Brighter Days a fun event at which we celebrate our successes over the past year. And there is much to celebrate, thanks to the generosity of many people.

This year, entertainment will be provided by Blue Taxi, a trio from Groton. I heard them on several occasions and they are terrific. We will also have warm hors d'oeuvres (served by local high school students) and a cash bar. There is also a silent auction, which will include several items from local businesses and local artisans.

Advanced tickets are $30 and can be purchased in Groton at the Blackbird Cafe, the Main Street Cafe, and Moison Hardware. Out-of-town ticket buyers can send their ticket requests to: TADS, P.O. Box 133, Groton, MA 01450.

Tickets at the door will be $35.

TADS has already made a difference with young people in our community. With the continued support of our community, we can continue our work and even reach out to neighboring communities.
