TOWNSEND -- Spring Fling is the concert you've been waiting for!
The Hope Community Chorus welcomes spring in a most delightful way ... tulips, apple and cherry blossoms, sunshine, blue skies and rainbows. Fling those snow shovels aside for a toe-tapping concert featuring music of the season. In addition to the solos and group performances of popular and familiar tunes, director Alice Struthers has added ukulele and trumpet accompaniments to this very special Sunday afternoon concert.
The Sunday show starts at 2 p.m. at the Townsend Meeting Hall on Dudley Road.
The Hall is located between the public library and senior center. A donation of $2.50 is appreciated; cookies and lemonade will be served following the concert.
Hope Community Chorus, comprised mostly of seniors, is in it's fourth season. Nearly 20 friends meet every Monday at 11 a.m. in Meeting Hall B. Newcomers are always welcome. Rehearsals for the June concert will resume on April 3. There are no auditions and experience is not necessary. Bring only an interest in meeting new people. A sense of humor is helpful too.
