HARVARD -- The League of Women Voters and Harvard Schools Trust announced that more than 4,000 people attended the 44th annual flea market over the Columbus Day Weekend.

"This is a record turnout for the Harvard Flea Market, which has been running since 1972," explained Patti Anklam, Co-Chair of the event and president of the League of Women Voters of Harvard. "It was a spectacular day for all involved and we wholeheartedly thank the many volunteers who make this event run so seamlessly."

2015 was the ninth consecutive year that the Harvard Schools Trust has co-sponsored the flea market with the League of Women Voters of Harvard. The flea market boasts 170 booths filled with antiques, collectibles, household goods and handmade items.

"We did end up having to create a wait list for people who wanted to rent booths. We recommend that for next year's flea market, folks send us an email now, as it is a first-come, first-serve basis," she added.

Interested parties should send an email to be added to the Harvard Flea Market mailing list. Please send an email to info@harvardfleamarket.com with your name, mailing address, phone number, and type of merchandise be placed on the list for the 2016 event, scheduled for October 8th.
