The Jungle Book: A orphaned boy finds refuge deep in the Indian jungle and is raised by the animals who live there. Relive this classic story by Rudyard Kipling and meet Mowgli, the "man cub," along with a zany group of jungle animals and sing along to the familiar songs that we all grew up with. Performed by the Florence Roche Elementary third- and fourth-graders through the GDCE on March 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. and March 10 at 2 p.m. at the Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students/seniors at the door on the day of the performance. Email Wendy Flaherty at for information.

Coffeehouse: Previously scheduled on the day of the blizzard, the First Parish Church of Groton Coffee House has been rescheduled to Friday, March 8, at 8 p.m. Performers include Zymurgy, Lizards in the Hayloft and The Powderhouse Gang, which includes everything from blues to bluegrass to barbershop. Admission is $15 and refreshments and wine will be available.


Variety show: The Groton-Dunstable Educators Association will present the annual GDEA Variety Show on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center in the Middle School South Building, 344 Main St., Groton. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5. There will be raffles and refreshments for $1 each. Proceeds go to scholarships for Groton-Dunstable graduating seniors.
