Join the staff and trustees of the Groton Public Library in welcoming new Library Director Vanessa Abraham.

Meet Abraham on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to noon on the third floor of the library. There will be coffee, tea, and brunch fare. The library will be open for regular services. In the event of snow or if Special Town Meeting continues to Feb. 2, this event will be rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9.

Margaret Fuller: American Icon, Sunday, Jan. 27, 2-3:30 p.m. Nancy LeMay, former Fruitlands docent will speak on Margaret Fuller: feminist, journalist, author, Groton resident, friend of Ralph Waldo Emerson and the transcendentalists. The Groton Woman's Club and the GPL endowment co-sponsor this live performance featuring "Julia Child" doing what she did best! Free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.

Drop-In Playgroup & Social Hour, Friday, Jan. 25, 10:30-11:30 am. An informal wintertime gathering for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their parents and caregivers. This is a wonderful opportunity to socialize, connect, and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate from the GPL Café (mid-level) for $1 per cup!
