Savannah Guthrie has a baby, according to E! News.
I hope it doesn't belong to someone else.
The "Today" co-anchor gave birth to her and husband Mike Feldman's first child Wednesday, a girl named Vale Feldman. She (Savannah, not Vale) announced the birth Thursday on Twitter, writing, "My 3 am wake up call sounds a lot different now. Sweeter ..." Feldman retweeted and added "but this sound is like music to my ears."
The sounds babies make have obviously changed since I had one.
Vale weighed 8.5 pounds and measured 19.5 inches. I don't know if that's big or small, but when you write about new babies, you have to include those details.
On Thursday, "Today" showed the first pictures of the baby.
Guthrie wrote on her "Today" baby blog earlier this year: "I'm 42 years old, and I honestly didn't know if I'd ever get this chance. I've never been more thankful, or felt more blessed from above. I know how lucky I am. For a long time, I think I was afraid to even let myself think about how much I hoped to one day have a baby."
Guthrie and Feldman married March 14 in Guthrie's hometown of Tucson, Arizona.
