Susan Sarandon had a fling with David Bowie three decades ago, the actress recently told The Daily Beast.

"In terms of hooking up with movie stars, I got married really young, which knocked out most of my 20s to be (messing) around," Sarandon said. However "there have been a couple of famous, pretty interesting ones. One rock star (Bowie), and another actor. But I'm pretty much a nester and tend to be monogamous."

Sarandon's affair with Bowie happened around the time they co-starred in 1983 horror film "The Hunger."

Well, that explains that. All that vampire foolishness even gets English guys a bit randy.

"That was a really interesting period," Sarandon said. "I wasn't supposed to have kids, and I'm the oldest of nine and had mothered all of them, so I wasn't ever in a mode to where I was looking to settle down and raise a family, so that definitely changes the gene pool you're dipping into."

That's great, Susan. But we want more names.

Sarandon divorced actor and college sweetheart Chris Sarandon in 1979. She later dated director Franco Amurri, who fathered her daughter, Eva. She partnered with actor Tim Robbins for 23 years -- until 2009 -- and has two sons, Miles and Jack.

Bowie married model Iman in 1992. The pair have a daughter.

Sarandon still has positive feelings for Bowie.

"Yeah. He's worth idolizing. He's extraordinary," she said. "Bowie's just a really interesting person, and so bright. He's a talent, and a painter, and ... he's great."
