I have a suggestion how Townsend can close its budget deficit due to the failed override.

Any Townsend resident who pays the town the $10.62 per month the override would have cost them, gets your street plowed this winter, your trash and recycling picked up, the police and fire and EMTs to come to your home, if needed, the use of the library, your kids educated in the school system and the enjoyment of all the fun events on the Town Common.

Any Townsend resident who doesn't want to pay for these valuable government -- yes, government -- services, you're on your own!
