ShirleyArts! will be sponsoring a series of ukulele jam sessions at the Ayer Shirley Middle School on Tuesday evenings, starting Sept. 2, at 7 p.m.
Beginners are welcome, and music books and ukuleles will be available to borrow for those who do not have their own.
Songs will be suggested, but those who already know some tunes on the ukulele may demonstrate or lead the group in one or two of their favorites.
The sessions finish at 8 p.m. each Tuesday and will continue through Oct. 21 for a participation fee of $20.
There is no requirement to attend every session, but participants are required to be at least in grade 4 or older. Teens, adults and senior citizens are welcome to come and try out this easy-to-play instrument.
Registration forms are available at the Hazen Library or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
