Your current (red) transfer station vehicle sticker will not expire until Dec. 31, 2014. The transfer station sticker will now be valid on the calendar year rather than the town's fiscal year.

The fee schedule for the 2015 renewal sticker will not change:

$80 for residents under age 60

$50 for residents age 60 and above

$20 for second sticker

$10 for a one-day pass

The calendar 2015 transfer station vehicle sticker will be available for renewal in November and December 2014 at the Public Works office at 25 Brook St.

from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please bring in your vehicle registration at renewal time. If you are unable to come to the office, please mail a copy of your registration and the appropriate renewal fee to us at 25 Brook St. (payable to Town of Ayer).

This change will enable the Public Work's administrative staff to function more efficiently at fiscal year end (June 30) by eliminating the task of selling permits during the months of June and July.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation while we continue to maintain a facility for Ayer residents to enjoy using.
