Ryan Andrews, a 2009 graduate of the Bromfield School, has just graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in electro mechanical engineering. He will be working as an engineer at iRobot in Bedford.

While a member of Wentworth's crew team, the men's varsity four boat took first place in the New England Championships on May 3

A press release states "A pair of first-place finishes highlighted a very successful Saturday for the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's rowing team at the 2014 New England Rowing Championships, which were held on Lake Quinsigamond.

"Both the Leopard Varsity Four boat and the Second Varsity Four boat won their respective events.

In the Varsity Four boat, which consisted of junior coxswain Mark Zak (Longmeadow), senior Ryan Andrews (Harvard), senior Alex Schwarzkopf (Old Saybrook, Conn.), senior Mike Drolette (Windham, N.H.), and senior Dave Patch (Topsfield), Wentworth won its heat to advance to the grand final with a time of 7:11.674, which bested UCONN's time of 7:18.349. In the grand finale, the Black & Gold took first with a time of 6:49.296, which edged Bowdoin's time of 6:50.263."
