PEPPERELL -- Pepperell's Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be holding their 2nd annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser this Saturday, May 10 at the Prescott Grange.

Boy Scout Troop 15 and Cub Scout Pack 55 will host the breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for seniors, scouts and children under 13, and tickets can be purchased at the door.

Pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit cups, juice and coffee will be served, and scouts will volunteer at the event by helping to prepare and serve food, as well as assisting with set-up and clean-up.

Jon Ludford, a volunteer with Pack 55, said the groups are hoping to raise $1,000 this year to put toward Scout-related activites.

"Pepperell Pack 55's Pancake Breakfast will benefit (the group by) generating funds for upcoming Cub Scout activities, help alleviate some of the costs associated with the events, engage the Pepperell Packs in a service event, and allow for the opportunity to make a donation to the Prescott Grange for the upkeep and restoration of the Grange Hall, a local Pepperell landmark," Ludford said.

The scouts are a worthy organization to support, Ludford said, because of their benefits for both the community and the individual scouts.
