PEPPERELL -- Pagans had a special talent for talking with and moving the earth spirits.
After this long cold winter and now, spring, some good communication and persuasion is needed to warm our days and mood.
Discover your primitive roots and join the Prescott Grange in a Maypole dance to wake the sun to its duty, force the clouds and arctic drafts to retreat, the flowers to bloom, buds to leaf and peas and asparagus to grow and start the gardening season.
The Maypole dance, Celtic dress or costumes of the wild encouraged, will be held at the Prescott Grange, 12 Park St., Saturday, May 3, at 1 p.m. Live music, refreshments and May baskets included.
Grab a ribbon and help us ensure a long and happy growing season. The spirits need to hear our petition and reward our passion for, and celebration of, spring.
