Physical therapy for animals at Hollis Woman's Club April 9
Physical therapy on animals is an emerging profession represented by qualified physical therapists that are using their physical therapy skills on animals. The most common domestic mammals, dogs, cats, and horses, have similar connective tissue physiology to humans. The same tissue healing principles that are commonly used on human PT can be applied to animals. Animals of all disciplines, whether working or domestic pets get injured, undergo surgery and have the potential to heal.
Jennifer Brooks, licensed PT, MEd, CERP, CCRP has been working in the animal field as a physical therapist since 2006, increasing her focus on small animals since 2010. She opened her small-animal treatment clinic in Nashua using an Aqua-Paws underwater treadmill, cold laser, therapeutic ultrasound, two training gyms and more in June of 2012.
Jennifer will be the guest speaker at the Hollis Woman's Club at the Lawrence Barn, 28 Depot Road, Hollis, N.H., Wednesday, April 9, at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome!
