The day will include a tour of the museum's doll collection, model trains and historic 1690 Claflin House with the highlight of our trip -- a traditional luncheon tea. The cost is $48 and includes admission, tour and luncheon tea.
We will depart the senior center at 9 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. To make your reservation, please call the senior center, 978-448-1170 or stop in and see us!
Creative-writing at the Senior Center
Author and Groton resident Richard Meibers, author of four published works and book editor for several independent publishers, will lead a creative-writing class at the Groton Senior Center. The class will meet the five Tuesdays of April, 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will write short essays, memoirs and short stories then present them to the group and discuss strategies for improvement. This is a great opportunity to jump start your thought process and write the stories you hold.
Please call the Groton Senior Center, 978-448-1170, for more information or to register.
