Animal Adventures at Earth Day on the Townsend Common April 26

Earth Day will be held Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rain date: Sunday, April 27, noon-4 p.m. on the Town Common.

Music, crafts, animals, environmental organizations, food and fun! This year's theme, "Jump and Slither" with frogs, snakes and turtles.

Animal Adventures will be presenting its interactive animal talk from 1-2 p.m.

The textile competition, between all of the school district towns (Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend), will be held in the rear parking lot. We are expecting 45 vendors, 15 nonprofit groups and we have an amazing line up of talent, both on the bandstand and on the green!

Vendors are still wanted: $25 per 12-foot-by-12-foot spot. No fee for nonprofit groups. Check should be made out to Town of Townsend and mailed to Karen Clement, 101 Main St., Townsend, MA 01469 by March 22. You bring your own tables, chairs and easy up.

Visit for more. There is no smoking on the Townsend Common. Porta-Potty available on site. Parking for vendors at the three churches surrounding the common.
