GROTON -- Absentee Ballots for the Tuesday, April 1, special town election are now available at the town clerk's office.
Monday, March 31 at noon, is the last day and hour to request an absentee ballot. All absentee ballots must be received by the town clerk by election day in order to be counted.
Massachusetts allows voters to vote by absentee ballot if you:

* Have a physical disability that prevents your voting at the polling place, and/or
* Cannot vote at the polls due to religious beliefs.
The voter registration deadline for the April 1 election was March 12. Currently registered voters do not have to re-register. You must be 18 years old by election day to vote in this election.
