Groton Women's Club St. Patrick's Day lunch

Wednesday, March 19 at noon: The Groton Women's club will be sponsoring a St. Patrick's Day luncheon at the Senior Center. Lunch is free to seniors and will include corned beef and cabbage, red potatoes, carrots and soda bread. Following lunch, entertainer Lindsay Straw, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, will entertain with Irish folk music. Lindsay is a bright young star in the Irish music world who brings a lovely sensitivity and style to her back-up playing on bouzouki and guitar, honoring the Irish tradition. Line-dancing is back

Line-dancing is great exercise with upbeat music to lift your mood with the class pace based on the comfort levels of the participants; all are welcome. Join us at the Groton Senior Center on Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to noon, with instructors Christine Mehigan and Bridget Byrne. This $3 beginner-level class will teach you line-dancing in various rhythms including waltz, cha cha, rumba and Charleston. Call the senior center to register, 978-448-1170.
