Friends of Townsend Seniors sponsor Foxwoods Casino Trip March 13
The Friends of the Townsend Seniors are planning a trip to Foxwoods Casino on Thursday, March 13. The trip is open to all area adults and includes round-trip bus from Townsend, and coupons for the buffet lunch and free play.
Sign-up and prepaid registration may be made by calling Avis Roy at 978-597-6829 or the Townsend Senior Center, 978-597-1710.
The cost of the trip is $28. It's always s a fun trip and you are invited to come with friends.
St. Patrick's Day supper March 15
The Townsend United Methodist Church will hold a St. Patrick's Day Supper Saturday, March 15. The menu will feature authentic Irish recipes of baked stuffed chicken breast with red pepper cream sauce, Dublin Coddle with sausage, sweet and sour red cabbage, red potatoes, peas, hot rolls and other Irish breads and delicious desserts.
Serving from 4-6 p.m., dinner is "eat-in or take-out." The price for adults is $10, seniors $9, children $5, and under 6 years, free.

Townsend Rod & Gun Club Annual Game Dinner March 15
The Townsend Rod & Gun Club is hosting its Annual Game Dinner, Saturday, March 15, at 5 p.m.
Chairman Mary Letourneau says this year's event will be one of the best, and tickets are available by calling her at 978-597-5868. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children under 12. Tickets will be available at the door.
The buffet menu includes appetizers, salads, soups, breads, a wide variety of game dishes, and desserts. There will be more traditional fare for the less adventurous! The dinner is open to the public, and all are welcome. A door prize and raffle will be held. The event is BYOB and adults are encouraged to drink responsibly.
The Game Dinner will be held at Townsend Rod & Gun Club, located at 46 Emery Road, Townsend, off Route 13 (about 1.5 miles south of Townsend center.)

Well adult clinic in Ashby March 20
Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Ashby Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held free of charge for the general public on Thursday, March 20, from noon to 1 p.m. at the American Legion, 361 New Ipswich Road. March is Blood Sugar Month. Drop in for blood pressure, pulse screening and diet teaching. No appointment necessary.
