Community supper Feb. 15

Public suppers are returning to Christian Union Church in West Groton for the 2014 year.

We will begin our year on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 5-7 p.m. with our roaring Roast Lion supper (that's right), Roast Lion. Included with this meal is real mashed potato, vegetable and dessert will be ice cream with strawberries or chocolate topping. The suppers are family-style, continuous-serving and no reservations required. Take-outs are also available. So bring your Valentine, wife, spouse, companion, family over to the Christian Union Church located on West Main Street (Route 225) in West Groton, across from the fire station.

Where can you get a better deal for $10 adults; ages 6-12 $5, and under 6 eat free.

Woman's Club to host park ranger, Feb. 21

On Friday, Feb. 21, the Groton Woman's Club will be meeting at the Union Congregational Church at 11:30 a.m.

Following the luncheon and business meeting, an Interpretative Park Ranger will be presenting the program, "Lowell and Lowell National Historical Park." This promises to be a most informative and interesting program.

Donations of food items will be collected for Loaves & Fishes food pantry.

Hostess chairmen for the luncheon are Bonnie Martin and Ellen Hargraves.

Groton Democratic Caucus Feb. 22

Democrats in Groton will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party's 2014 Nominating Convention on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at Groton Town Hall, 173 Main St. All registered Democrats in Groton are eligible to participate. Groton will elect five delegates and three alternates divided equally between men and women.

The Groton Democratic Town Committee will hold its meeting after the caucus adjourns at about 3 p.m.

Well adult clinic March 13

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Groton Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held on Thursday, March 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Center, 163 West Main St., Groton . March is Blood Sugar Month. Drop in for blood pressure, pulse screening and diet teaching. No appointment is necessary.
