PEPPERELL -- You asked for more digital content ... and we heard you!

The Massachusetts Library System (MLS), in cooperation with its vendor partners, Baker & Taylor and BiblioLabs, is delighted to announce the MA eBook Project.

Lawrence Library in Pepperell is one of 51 Massachusetts pilot libraries offering eBooks to their communities as a trial to explore different models for eBook lending, different platforms and user experiences. The project involves all library types (public, academic, school and special), and was conceived to respond to growing interest in the Massachusetts library community to expand the reach of eBooks for Massachusetts library users.

Look for the MA eBook Project logo on our website ( to search for eBooks and more from our partners, BiblioLabs and Baker & Taylor. Search for a book, check it out and download these materials to your device, and you're off and running!

Look for bestsellers in fiction and nonfiction via Baker & Taylor's Axis 360 digital media platform.

Use the BiblioLabs platform BiblioBoard to find historical documents, books, images, documents, artifacts, ephemera, audio and video related to specific themes. This multimedia experience is built around high-resolution primary source historical content, and a growing collection of contemporary publisher content including children's books, graphic novels, comics and contemporary nonfiction.

The project is made possible through funding from MLS and through federal funds provided by the Institute for Museums and Library Services administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. The MBLC has made eBooks and the technology the focus of its fiscal 2015 legislative agenda for Massachusetts.
