Bargains in the Belfry is holding its first ever White Sale continues Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., throughout January and until mid-February. Bed linens, napkins and other table linens, towels, plus decorative items. Bargains is located upstairs at the Harvard UU Church.

Join the Harvard Conservation Trust for a family-friendly scavenger hunt during Fruitlands Museum's Winterfest celebration on Sunday, Jan. 26, 1-3 p.m. Admission is free for Trust members, nonmembers $5.

Prizes will be awarded so come early!

Garden Club meets Jan. 27

Did you know there are over 300 species of clematis with over 1,000 cultivars and some will bloom continuously in your New England Garden for more than 16 weeks?

Come learn how this easy-to-grow vine can make your garden the envy of all. Cheryl Monroe will present this program on the "Queen of the Vines" at The Garden Club of Harvard's monthly meeting on Monday, Jan. 27. Cheryl is a master gardener who strives to have beautiful pest-free gardens on her one-acre plot in central Massachusetts where she grows many varieties of plants, vines, trees and shrubs.

The meeting will begin at 11:15 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Theresa's Church and is open to the public.

Lunch and a business meeting will precede the speaker.

Harvard PTO meeting Jan. 31

The Harvard PTO will hold a meeting on Friday, Jan. 31, at 9 a.m. at the Harvard General Store. All are welcome to attend. Head up to the second-floor for the meeting, and you can purchase a beverage downstairs if you like. Come see what the PTO is planning for both HES and the Bromfield schools. Hope to see you there.

Ludo Festival Feb. 6

Attention all middle-school students: The 4th annual international celebration, the Bromfield Ludo Festival, is coming again soon, so SAVE THE DATE! The date is Thursday Feb. 6, from 6-8:30 p.m. (snow date is Feb. 13). Plan on spending the whole time, and come with your friends. Enjoy international food, activities and music. This Bromfield event is for the middle-school, but high-school students (and parents) volunteer to help bring it to life.

We are still looking for volunteers, both parents and high-school students to help bring international ideas as well as help out. Anyone else know how to pitch for cricket? use a pizelle maker?....

Science fair Feb. 7

The Bromfield School Annual Science Fair will take place on Friday, Feb. 7, in the cafeteria of The Bromfield School. The public is invited to view student projects between 7 and 7:45 p.m. An awards ceremony will follow immediately in the Cronin Auditorium.
