I have prepared a draft update of the document Shirley Town Meeting Procedures for review and comment. Copies are available on the town website and at the town clerk's office.

No substantive changes were made to the document in the update. Minor changes include clarification of some of the meeting procedures, introduction of a procedure to reconsider or rescind for line items in the budget, inclusion of meeting practices which have become common over the past few years and streamlining of the text.

Please send any comments to me by Feb. 15 so that I may consider them for the final version.
