The second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service will be held at North Middlesex Regional High School. On Jan. 20, the MLK Day of Service student coordinators will be hosting a day of service as a part of the National Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, helping to make it "a day ON, rather than a day OFF."

The day will be comprised of two sessions: 10 a.m. to noon and noon to 2 p.m. Each session will have various service projects through which attendees will be able to rotate, benefiting a variety of local agencies, in addition to off-site projects which have limited availability.

The service projects are oriented around the basic needs of the surrounding communities and students will be able to learn about each project and why they are doing this activity. This is a great opportunity to give back to your local community, in addition to participating in a national event happening in every state. You (fellow students) as well as your peers, students, friends and family are invited.

We are asking that all attendees RSVP to the service learning coordinator Raymond Kane at with the number of participants that will be attending and in which session you would like to participate.

Contact the email listed above or call 978-597-8721 at ext. 2232 for information. See for more information regarding the national event.
