HARVARD -- Singer/songwriter/musician Ashley Jordan has just released her new full-length album of all original music titled "Nothing in Doubt."
Produced by Adam Jensen in Boston, the album ranges from songs with a country/acoustic feel to those with more of an Americana/rock vibe.
This past summer, Ashley completed her second music video to her original song "If I Had You." In the fall, the Nashville Network picked her music video for airing and then later selected Ashley as their "Rising Star," placing her video in regular rotation within their Top Ten Videos in the U.S. Boston's Mix 104.1 also selected "If I Had You" as one of their "Best of 2013" as part of their Fifteen Seconds of Fame program.
This week, Ashley was one of five acts nominated by the 2014 New England Music Awards for the "Country Act of the Year."
The New England Music Awards are presented every year to the musicians who call New England home and whose dedication, spirit and achievements over the last year have established them as a contributing force to the most robust and diverse music scene in the country. The NEMA nominating committee consists of journalists from music publications, radio personalities, talent-buyers and record label execs collectively representing all six New England states.
Voting has begun and will end on Jan. 31, with a highly anticipated show and award ceremony in February at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Ashley is being sponsored by two companies: Life Is Nutz and Eastern States Eyewear.
Life Is Nutz is a lifestyle merchandising company that recognizes people for who they are and what they love to do. Life Is Nutz designed custom merchandise for Ashley and donated all the T-shirts for her recent Kickstarter campaign.
Eastern States Eyewear of New York City is a leader in fashion, quality and innovation. Ashley wears several of their lines of sunglasses in ad campaigns, including their EXCES brand that follows the philosophy of "Don't be invisible."
Ashley will be performing a hometown show at the Harvard General Store Pub Night on Friday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. Her newest album "Nothing in Doubt" is now on sale at the Harvard General Store as well as on CD Baby, Amazon, Spotify, iTunes and Newbury Comics.
