LITTLETON -- It's musical theater time again at Indian Hill Music School, and all young singers, actors, dancers, and theater-minded kids ages 8 to 18 are invited to be a part of our exciting production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast Jr." Registration is now under way for this four-week festival beginning June 24 at Indian Hill Music School, 36 King St. Before and after care is available.
Auditions are held the first two days of the festival. (View schedule details online; due to this year's snow days, there is an altered first-week schedule.) Learn more, including fee, at 978-486-9524 (press 0) or indianhillmusic.org.
"Beauty and the Beast Jr." is the perfect show for a wide range of ages and abilities, and Indian Hill has a great track record for producing top-notch youth productions with sold-out performances. Sets, costumes and lighting are professionally produced, and the directors have years of experience in music education and performance. Students will have fun while developing and applying theater craft and life skills working with Indian Hill's caring team of professional artists and educators. Participants work on all aspects of the show, from sets and costumes to learning how to express themselves on stage. The program wraps up with three fully staged performances on the weekend of July 19-21.
The beloved tale takes place in a faraway land where an enchantress turns a cruel, unfeeling prince into a hideous beast.
Disney's "Beauty and the Beast Jr." is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
