WESTFORD -- Fourteen Nashoba Valley Technical High School students combined to win 11 medals at the recent SkillsUSA District Competition, held at Greater Lowell Technical High School in Tyngsboro.

The students who medaled will go on to compete in the SkillsUSA State Competition later this spring in Marlborough.

Gold-medalists for Nashoba Tech in the District Competition are: the team of Mikaela Berthiaume (junior, Townsend) and John Young (junior, Billerica), in digital cinema production; Daniel Leonard (postgraduate, Chelmsford) in electronics; Shannon Pecora (junior, Westford) in cabinetmaking; Danielle Robinson (senior, Lowell) in photography; and Victoria Ronayne (junior, Westford) in dental.

Kylie McCaul (senior, Chelmsford) won a silver medal in early childhood education.

Bronze-medalists are: the team of Joseph Bernardo (junior, Westford) and Justin Stewart (senior, Chelmsford) in mobile robotics technology; Ashley Curtin (senior, Chelmsford) in restaurant service; Caitilin Cuoco (senior, Ayer) in nurse assisting; Thomas Hall (sophomore, Pepperell) in precision machining technology; the team of Rebecca Reese (senior, Chelmsford) and Brianna Taylor (junior, Shirley) in digital cinema production.
