The Conant Gallery presents the mixed media art of Westford's Margot Stage in an exhibit titled "What's Left Behind."

In her artist's statement, Stage says: "I am intrigued by things left behind, overlooked or discarded ... from leftover linings of silk neckties to fallen black locust pods or discarded spools of thread, I take these objects and transform them into sculpture." With her work, she hopes to "invite a refreshing and often whimsical view of our world."

Stage, who is a former producer and host of National Public Radio, will be available to meet the public at an opening reception on Friday, Jan. 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The exhibit is on display from Jan. 1 through Feb. 28, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
