WESTFORD -- Nashoba Valley Technical High School's community support group, the Friends of Nashoba, will hold its inaugural Road Race, Craft Fair and Family Day on Saturday, Oct. 20, to support sports teams and extracurricular activities.

The 5-kilometer race starts at 9:30 a.m. at the school, 100 Littleton Road (Route 110). The cost before Oct. 15 is $25 for adults, $15 for kids younger than 13, and $10 for runners over 65. After Oct. 15 and on race day, the cost is $35 for adults, $20 for kids younger than 13 and $15 for runners over 65. All pre-registrants will receive a T-shirt; there will be a limited supply for race-day applicants. Awards will be given to the top finishers in several age categories.

The Craft Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Nashoba Tech's gymnasium. There will be vendors, kids' activities, raffles and a bake sale. Crafters and vendors who wish to participate can contact Sharon McSweeney at 978-866-6791 or S.McSweeney@verizon .net.

Anyone wishing to support the Friends of Nashoba can do so by sponsoring the road race ($50) or the start/finish line ($200), donating a raffle prize, donating drinks for race participants, or volunteering on race day.
