DEVENS -- The Fort Devens Museum will open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Area residents are invited to share their stories, photographs and memories of working and being stationed at Fort Devens over the years.
The museum is also seeking more material and information on the Korean War and the Vietnam War eras to add to the displays.
Current exhibits include a scale model of a World War II era barracks building researched and created by a museum volunteer, a photograph of Johnny Pesky and Ted Williams with the Fort Devens baseball team in 1941 and a flight suit from the Fort Devens Flying Cub.
The museum s located at 94 Jackson Road. The building is handicapped accessible with an elevator to the third-floor exhibit areas. For information, call 978-772-1286.
