The Lunenburg/Ayer Shirley boys hockey team stormed past a red-hot Worcester team, 4-1, on the road at Buffone Arena.

High schools

Connor Viviano scored twice for Lunenburg/Ayer Shirley, which ended a six-game winning streak for Worcester (6-2).

Matthew Albert added a second-period goal and Jacob Mauro scored into an empty net in the third. Jackson Ehwa and Sean Simpson tallied assists.

Jared Palmer made 18 saves in his first varsity start to backbone the Rams to the victory at Hallenborg Pavillon in Billerica.

Junior winger Dan McGaffigan netted a goal and assist for Shawsheen.

Nashoba Tech made things close by scoring the last two goals on tallies by Matt Denti and Connor Lefebvre.

Christian Beck scored 23 points while leading the Tigers past North Middlesex Regional.

Senior guard Evan Cook scored 16 of his 17 points in the 2nd half and G-D outscored Nashoba, 20-10, in the 4th quarter to get separation.

Connor Keegan had 10 points for the Crusaders. Brian Scott and Jacob Gavel had 8 points each.
