The concert program focuses on music by American composers Robert Beaser and Katherine Hoover, and Argentinian tango king Astor Piazzolla. A group of Latin American dances is also featured.

Selected movements from Beaser's Mountain Songs open the program. The work is a collection of settings of popular American folk songs, the tunes of which are all familiar to listeners of folksingers Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, and Woody Guthrie. Beaser's profound arrangements for guitar and flute bring a fresh perspective to these traditional tunes.

Katherine Hoover's monumental work Canyon Echos, tells a dramatic story of two young Native Americans who meet, fall in love, and later despair after losing one another. The work, performed in its entirety this evening, was inspired by the retelling of the tale in The Flute Player, by Michael Lacapa. Mr. McLellan will play favorite selections by the Brazilian genius Heitor Villa-Lobos. Ms. Kraus rejoins for the rest of the program, featuring selected movements of Astor Piazzolla's History of the Tango, and concluding with the Latin American dances.

"Supple and riveting.... elegant and adroit playing...dazzling" (Worcester Telegram) eloquently describe the playing of flutist Tracy Kraus. She has performed throughout Europe and the United States as a soloist and orchestral musician. However, her true passion is chamber music. Ms. Kraus is a co-founder and Executive Director of the highly acclaimed Worcester Chamber Music Society and for the last 13 seasons, has led the group through a significant stage of growth and success. Dave McLellan has performed solo and collaborative concerts in the US, Europe, and South America for over forty years. His Concert In Your Living Room initiative to assist non-profit fund raising starts its third decade of service. A Harvard re\sident since 2016, he also volunteers in the Bromfield School middle school band program teaching percussionists. He is the curator of Hartt@Home, a popular performance outreach program of The Hartt School in Hartford, Conn.

Store owner Scott Hayward is excited about this unusual event: "Our upstairs space is the perfect historic setting for a lovely evening of great food and lively music. We are so looking forward to this event and hope to see many old friends and new faces come to enjoy the atmosphere."
