FITCHBURG -- The Groton-Dunstable girls cross country team are undefeated league champions for the fourth year in a row.

The Crusaders captured the Mid-Wach B championship Thursday at Hollis Hill Farm with a score of 23 to dominate Marlboro (59), Westboro (70) and Nashoba Regional (75).

Alexandra Bettez of Nashoba was the champion in 19:38.

G-D collected the next four spots -- Sarah Maple was second in 20:04, Sydney Adams took third in 20:30, Kimmie Harding ran to fourth in 21:20 and Julianna Higgins placed fifth in 21:22.

Also finishing in the top 15 were Brenna Cox (9th in 22:37) and Mia Garibotto (14th in 23:32).

On the boys side, running to victory for Groton-Dunstable were Eli Kritzer. The senior crossed the finish line in 18:07 to win by six seconds.

Joining him in the top 15 were Thomas Orcutt, who was 10th in 18:53, Patrick Daly, who was 14th in 19:20, and Kyle Luchford, who took 15th in 19:22.

In the team standings, Westboro won with a score of 35 to nip Nashoba by one point. Groton-Dunstable (57), Marlboro (102) and Fitchburg (155) followed.
