AYER -- Ayer Shirley Regional High School is going nuts this Spring -- PEAnuts, that is.

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," the Clark Gesner musical based on the comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, will start its run on May 11, running through May 12.

Currently celebrating over 50 years of performance, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is a fresh approach to the beloved comic strip PEANUTS by Charles Schultz. In the musical, Charlie Brown is joined by Sally Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, Snoopy and other comic favorites in this charming revue of vignettes and songs.

Directed by JulieAnn Govang, with musical direction by Tim Ketterer, the ensemble cast features ASRHS students Julia Alo, Alexis Blackwell, Carolyn Cooper, Eliza Cuoco, Chris Govang, Jared Magno, Nadia Nalesnik, Olivia Oestreicher, Deran Quinty, Camilla Ramos, Claudia Ramos, Emily Russell, Wesley Trumbo and Jorden Young.

Charles M. Schulz once said, "If I were given the opportunity to present a gift to the next generation, it would be the ability for each individual to learn to laugh at himself."

Performances run May 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. and May 12 and 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 general admission; $5 for students and seniors. All performances will be held in the ASRHS Auditorium, 141 Washington St., Ayer.
