All five Nashoba Tech players who took the ice scored in their final high school games as the Vikings skated past Gardner, 11-0, on Tuesday.
Boys, girls hockey
The Lowell Catholic boys hockey team fell 4-0 to North Reading in the championship game of the Jeff Hayes Memorial Tournament and Burlington skated past Chelmsford, 5-0, at the Cahoon Tournament.
Nashoba Tech 11, Gardner 0
Jonathan Wright, Eddie LaLumiere and Ryan Silva each pocketed 2 goals to pace Nashoba Tech to the rout at the Chelmsford Forum.
Silva added 2 assists. Also notching four-point games were Matt Ringdahl (goal, 3 assists) and Matt Venti (goal, 3 assists). Nashoba finishes with a 7-10-3 record.
Lowell 4, Cambridge 1
Juniors Ben Asselin and Thomas Hassett each had a pair of goals as visiting Lowell defeated league champion Cambridge in an MVC/DCL conference game.
Hassett broke a scoreless tie with a power-play goal early in the third. After Cambridge tied it, Asselin scored two in a row, one coming shorthanded, before Hassett finished the scoring with an empty-net goal.
Lowellreceived 2 assists from Brendan Demarco, and one from Owen Goulette, Brendan Broderick and Asselin. Patrick Cote made 22 saves. Lowell finishes the regular season 15-3-2.
Wilmington 7, Shawsheen 2
Tom Worob scored 3 goals, one shorthanded, one on the power play and one even strength, while leading Wilmington past Shawsheen Tech in a non-league game Monday night.
AJ McKearney and Dan Woods each scored a goal and added 2 assists for the Wildcats (10-9), who earned a state tournament berth with the win.
Jarred Aucoin chipped in with 1 goal and 1 assist, while Brendan George scored his first varsity goal. Dylan Bresnahan, Connor Benoit and Joe Hill notched 1 assist each. Anthony Couzzo made 15 saves, while Stephen Bowker had 2 saves in three minutes of play.
For Shawsheen (13-6), Matt Irwin led the way with 1 goal and 1 assist. Andrew Tsoukalas scored the other Ram goal.
Westford 5, Arlington Catholic 3
Freshman Val Crory netted a hat trick and added an assist -- her 14th, 15th and 16th goals of the season -- to power the Grey Ghosts.
Senior forward Hannah Keefe added a goal and assist for her 100th and 101st career points. Kayleigh Butler scored a goal.
WA will play Duxbury in the tournament on Thursday (4 p.m.).
Masconomet 2, Tewks./Methuen 2
Masconomet advanced in the tournament after winning on penalty shots. The game will go down as a 2-2 tie for tournament seeding purposes.
Tewksbury/Methuen received two more points from Kelly Golini, who had a goal and assist. Lydia Pendleton scored the other goal.
Bishop Guertin 8, Berlin 2
Ashley Killen netted 3 goals and an assist, while Lindsey Hult contributed 2 goals and 3 assists in BG's rout.
Brianna DeFelice found the back of the net twice and Brooke Yabroudy set up 3 goals. Abbey Houle made 28 stops for BG (12-5).
