GROTON -- Come listen, laugh and cry.

An evening of true stories told live at First Parish Church of Groton Unitarian Universalist will be held January 27 at 7 p.m. Storytellers will share tales fantastical, funny, intriguing and provocative in the "Moth" tradition with famed storyteller Rose Saia featured as a special guest.

A true storyteller, Saia has told stories on WGBH's "Stories from the Stage," The Life is Good Kids Foundation, the International Institute of New England's Suitcase Stories and at the legendary Brother Blue StorySpace. Rose is a two-time Moth and Massmouth StorySLAM winner and a Moth GrandSLAM 3rd place finalist.

"This is the 10th time we've produced Storytelling, it's extremely popular," said Carol Bousquet, executive producer of the show. "To have Rose Saia on the bill is very exciting! Rose is a storytelling coach as well as a famed storyteller; we're very excited that Rose is also helping coach the other storytellers for this production."

Other storytellers include Clio Fischer, Bob Kniffen, and Eric Elbot, and Hannah Tellier.

Suggested donation is $10 however donations smaller and larger are appreciated. All proceeds will benefit the First Parish Church of Groton UU. Snacks and beverages will be available.
