For the seventh year in a row, the employees of Vitasoy USA, located in Ayer, donated toys, games and stocking stuffers to help make the holidays merrier for children in need. All of the items were distributed at Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry's "Shop for Your Kids" day, which was held on Dec. 19 and Dec. 20.

Loaves & Fishes clients who live or worship in Ayer, Devens, Groton, Harvard, Shirley and Ayer come to the event and selected gifts, toys, stocking stuffers, books, games, and gift wrap for their children, from infants to age 18. It's a magical time, especially since many of these children would not otherwise receive gifts for the holidays.

Annemarie Abdo, Human Resources Director at Vitasoy, explains, "Vitasoy is committed to a policy of corporate philanthropy, and it just makes sense for us to contribute to a program that helps children in the towns we live and work in. We regularly donate food to Loaves & Fishes, and many employees volunteer in the community, but this event has a special place in the hearts of our employees. And it's fun to pick out toys and games, both those we loved when we were children ourselves and new ones."

A pioneer in bringing organic and all-natural tofu and soymilk to North America, Vitasoy USA is committed to producing delicious, innovative foods that promote the health and well being of its consumers and the earth.
