As the days and nights become cooler, it's time to start dressing warmer. I've been experiencing fall-esque days in Syracuse for the past few days, and my outfits and I have adjusted to the weather quite well. It's not "cold" yet, but it could be time for jeans, a light sweater and scarf. If you aren't warm enough in those pieces, try throwing a jacket on top of it.
This fall, military jackets are back again, and that's always a good addition to a simple outfit. It'll keep you warm and stylish. Who could ask for more?
Since it's September, it's time for a darker colored bag and watch. Try colors like dark/army green, maroon, navy blue or black. For chic, everyday satchels, try a Rebecca Minkoff bag (pictured). They're very fashionable and très useful.
Also, it's time to transition from lighter nail colors to darker, same goes for lipstick. Keep yourself warm with deep, warm colors. Just remember, it's basically fall and short shorts and tanks just aren't the style anymore. Be smart and be chic!
