Church supper: Baked Chicken Breast supper will be held at the Christian Union Church in West Groton from 5-7 p.m. The chicken will be served plated but the all the fixings will be family-style. Come try this new menu item; we always appreciate your feed back. The menu includes mashed potato, gravy, stuffing, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls and butter, dessert (brownie and ice cream) and beverage. The price remains the same: $10 for adult; 6-12 $5 and under 6 eat free. Takeouts will be available and no reservations required. Movie night at Groton Grange Hall: Please join us in "The Screening Room" at Historic Groton Grange Hall at 7:30 p.m. as the curtain goes up for the film "Chicken with Plums." From the Oscar -nominated filmmakers of "Persoplis," comes a captivating live-action fairytale set in 1950's Tehran.

SOV Youth Mission Trips Fundraiser: Groton, Mass. + Niagara Falls, NY + Norristown, PA = Spaghetti Supper. Come to the Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser sponsored by the youth of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Groton Senior Center, 163 West Main St. The middle school youth are painting homes and serving in homeless shelters in Niagara Falls, New York this July. The high school youth are painting and repairing homes in Norristown, PA this June. (You can carbo load for the Groton Road Race the next day!)
Girls' Softball Spring Registration is Open -- PreK through ninth grade
Spring is here and softball is a great way for girls to get outside, learn teamwork and skills, and make friends. There is still time for girls in grades Pre-K through ninth to sign up for the Groton-Dunstable Youth Softball League, which starts in late April. Previous softball experience is not required. Free Dinner, Live Music, and Good Company
All are welcome to the next Groton Community Dinner on Friday, April 26, at First Parish Church at the intersection of Routes 40 and 119 in Groton. Dinner is served continuously from 5:45-7 p.m. Come for live music, delicious food, and good company. The menu for April 26 includes spinach feta salad, spring chicken with zucchini and tomatoes or zucchini with tomatoes and chickpeas, couscous, and pineapple upside down cake.

Town election April 30
Candidates for the Groton Annual Town Election have been determined by the nomination process. Please visit this page for more information on the seats and candidates.
The Groton Annual Town Election will be conducted on April 30, the same day as the Special State Primary. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The polling locations for Precincts 2 and 3 has been changed, effective with the April 30, 2013, elections. These precincts formerly voted at the Middle School, but will now vote at the Prescott School building, 145 Main St. Precinct 1 will continue to vote at the Groton Senior Center at 163 West Main St.
