HARVARD - Believe it or not, Harvard's 4th of July planning is underway! Fruitlands has once again graciously donated their spectacular grounds for the fireworks extravaganza on the evening of Wednesday, July 3, 2013. The parade and field events will take place on the 4th of July.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS. If you like planning and fraternizing with fun, creative people, come join us at our monthly meetings. Our next meeting will be held on Sunday, March 3rd at 4pm. If you want to help on a smaller scale, we need volunteers to sell t-shirts and to facilitate the field events. We need your help! The 4th of July fireworks, parade, and field events are brought to you by the hard work of your fellow friends and neighbors. Please consider joining us by sending us an email at sandrakimball@yahoo.com.

ATTENTION ALL FLOAT MAKERS: our theme this year is "Old Fashioned 4th of July". Consider this your official invitation to compete for the honor of first prize in float decorating.

CALLING ALL STUDENTS, our t-shirt design contest has begun! How would you like your drawing and slogan to adorn the Harvard 4th of July, 2013 t-shirt? Would you like to be honored in the 4th of July parade? The Harvard 4th of July Committee is accepting entries into the t-shirt contest through Friday, February 15th. Here's all you have to do: Draw a picture with a slogan based on the theme "Old Fashion 4th of July". The picture needs to be on standard size white paper with black ink.

Put your name and telephone number on the back of the picture so we can notify you if you are the winner. Hand in you picture at the Bromfield Administration Office by no later than February 15, 2013.

Please consider joining us and/or supporting us. T-shirts will be ready for purchase at the annual town meeting on Saturday, April 6th. Remember, if you buy a t-shirt and wear it at the fireworks, you will get a $10 parking discount. All money goes towards supporting this memorable 4th of July event.
