TOWNSEND -- The Townsend Emergency Management Agency is forming a Community Emergency Response Team.
An information session and the first class will be held on Oct. 16, from 6-9 p.m. Classes will be held downstairs at the Central Fire Station on Elm Street (Route 13).
Some of the areas to be covered include first aid, CPR, search-and-rescue techniques, fire safety and dealing with hazardous materials.
All TEMA members as well as other interested residents (over 18) are invited to join us. However, class size is limited and preference will be given to current TEMA members.
For information or to register, call Shirley Coit, Townsend emergency manager, at 978-597-6482. Be sure to clearly leave your name and phone number.
