AYER -- The annualR Tuba Christmas is blowing into town this weekend.
The big brass orchestra will play holiday favorites at the Town Hall Sunday at 2 p.m., just as they have done for 45 years. The Ayer event is now in its 18th season and usually draws about 100 viewers.
The show in Ayer is one of only four in Massachusetts for the worldwide event, which is sponsored by the Harvey Phillips Foundation, an Indiana-based non-profit that specializes in staging cultural events.
And Sunday's show is the last in this year's series and the only one in central Massachusetts.
The conductor for this year's performance is Tom Reynolds, retired music teacher from Bromfield School in Harvard.
Ayer Business Alliance is the local sponsor for the performance, which will take place in The Great Hall on the second floor.
