Fourth of July Committee: Summer will be here before you know it and along with summer comes Ayer's Annual Fourth of July Celebration! The town's celebration is always a great hit and lots of fun. If you would like to volunteer at any level, the Fourth of July Committee is holding a kick-off meeting at 5:15 p.m. at Ayer Town Hall. This year's event will be held on Saturday, July 6. It is a lot of fun and there is plenty to do. You can volunteer any amount of time that works for you. Spring meat raffle
A spring meat raffle will be held at the Ayer Gun & Sportsman's Club in Friday, march 15, at 7 p.m. Come join the fun and vie for hams, turkeys, pork loins, prime ribs and more. In addition to our normal raffles, there will be a special raffle for a flat-screen TV and door prizes.
The club is located at 255 Snake Hill Road in Ayer. Call 978-772-9748 for information.
St. Patrick's Day supper
The Ayer Gun & Sportsman's Club will host at St. Patrick's Day "all you can eat" corned beef and cabbage dinner on Saturday, March 16, at 6 p.m.
Tickets at $12 are available at the club, 255 Snake Hill Road, Ayer.

Citizens Petition Warrant
The Annual Town Meeting is Monday, May 13, at 7 p.m. at Ayer-Shirley Regional High School. The warrant was opened on Feb. 5; the deadline for citizens petitions is Friday, March 15, at 5 p.m.
