LEOMINSTER -- An Ayer woman was released on personal recognizance Monday after being arraigned in Leominster District Court on four counts of obtaining drugs by fraud.
Officers were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy on Nelson Street, where they spoke with the pharmacist about a woman who was picking up prescriptions for narcotics under different names.
The pharmacist launched an internal investigation and noticed the woman, later identified as Emilya Shakarian, of 29 Pleasant St., Ayer, would use different names while getting prescriptions filled, but her driver's-license number and phone number were the same.
Officers confirmed she used at least eight aliases -- including her year-old son's name -- to obtain pain medicine.
Shakarian is due back in court Jan. 16.
