SHIRLEY -- There will be no rest for a few local ghosts after this year's Halloween hauntings, as they'll be called to the stage to kick off the holiday season in ShirleyArts! production of "Bah Humbug," Nov. 1-3 at Ayer-Shirley Middle School.
A cast and crew of 40 local children and adults will perform the musical retelling of Dickens' holiday classic, including John Rounds as Ebenezer Scrooge, Bruce English as Bob Cratchit, and Olivia Pampinella as Tiny Tim. Dina Samfield appears as Marley's Ghost, Selah Condon as the Spirit of Christmas Past, and Roy Ellis as the Spirit of Christmas Present, with a host of street waifs, carolers, elves and more.
The production is directed by Meredith Marcinkewicz, with choreography by Laurie Marcinkewicz.
Performances at the Ayer-Shirley Middle School will be Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 pm.
General admission tickets are $8 if bought in advance from a cast member or at Hazen Library and $10 at the door. For information visit shirleyarts.org, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 978-496-6427.
