GROTON -- The inaugural "Taylor's" motorcycle ride, a life remembered, will be held this Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks, 300 Littleton Road, (Route 110), Chelmsford.
This memorial fundraiser is for the Taylor DeLuca Memorial Fund. Registration for the ride begins at 10 a.m. with kick-stands up at 11 a.m. The ride will go through Chelmsford, Westford, Littleton, Groton, Pepperell, Dunstable and other locations in the Nashoba Valley before returning to the Chelmsford Elks Lodge.
It is expected that the ride will go through Groton between 11:30 a.m. and noon, during Grotonfest. Food, fun and an auction will follow the ride from 2-8 p.m., also at the Elks lodge. Admission to the event is $20 and is free for kids under 12.
Taylor DeLuca lost her life, along with her friend Richard Mitchell, of Dunstable, on Sept. 2, 2012, in a tragic car accident. They were both 21 years old.
The Taylor DeLuca Memorial Fund proceeds will benefit scholarships and nonprofits that help children and people in need.
